Hi all,

I'm slightly considering selling my TVR at the moment as I need something a bit practical that can be left outside and generally be happier being an everyday car. I still want something interesting though so I've been casually looking at a VXR8/Monaro as it seems to check the boxes of being practical and have a large V8. This is unfortunately all I know about them so before I consider any further, does anyone on here have one?

What are they like to live with? How do they drive? What do they cost to run etc?

Also on a bit of a side note, I don't think they are legally allowed to tow in the UK but does anyone know if a car can be checked and homologated to add a tow bar in the UK?

Hey Nick, hope you are well.

Sorry to hear you are considering letting the Tiv go. With regards to the Monaro it might be worth posting in the HSV and Monaro forum. I met a few of the guys at a PH meet and they were a good laugh and had a number of very impressive cars.

A couple of them had fitted Superchargers to their cars and were getting some very impressive figures indeed which will probably be of interest to you.
