Sorry, am I missing something here. All I can see is a nice short clip of a Mini?

Even Porsche drivers need sighting laps.

Who's the driver?

Plus a 200bhp cooper s is going to trouble a lot of cars.

A standard r53 cooper s is a quick car in it's own right, holds it's own against the hot hatch crowd on a twisty road, so bung it another 40bhp and a driver who knows where he's going and you'll be surprisingly quick.

Porsche guys didn't look overly confident, may early laps for them in cars they don't want to stuff into the Armco.

Looks like some seriously aggressive driving for TF - overtaking on the right, big dive under brakes etc. I wouldn't want to be sharing a track with the guy.

Yeah I thought it was poor form for the yellow Porsche to not shift over.

However, the Porker drivers are probably a lot more careful just due to the cost of a screwup.

Really bad track manners by the JCW driver, not impressed at all.

They didnt have any appreciation whatsoever for the capabilities of the Porsche or the fact the drivers were obviously inexperienced hence why he nearly caused an accident a couple of times. At 1:36 for example he nearly stuffs it into the back of the Porsche, too close, doesnt appreciate the braking capability of the Porsche and didnt anticipate the driver was going to overbrake as they are novices.

Porsche should have got the hell out the way but two wrongs dont make a right.

I do agree about the bad manners of the JCW driver however don't think the porsche driver was no good- they were still gunning it. Plus they didn't move over either!

Anyone else draw a sharp breath when the biker came into view when he was looking to go round?

It was the formation blocking that got me.

Saw 'buddy' cars doing this a few times last summer.

If you are being shown round/following a line - follow it.

I don't think I'd share the track with any of them tbh. Be time for a touring lap if tangled with that lot.

Well, conclusive proof that there really is no point in buying a porsche then. Thanks, I'll stop looking forward to the day when I can afford a 997 GT3 (natural competitor to a jcw mini) and instead I'll sell my 996 and buy a mini. Obvious really innit. As "in the real world" (as seen here) its much quicker.

Not wanting to overstate the obvious, but you could put a racing driver in kia ceed and me in my 911, give me a couple of minutes head start and I'd still look like I was going down to the shops in comparison.

Yep. Great skills.

  • Wrong side overtake at Brunnchen2 to show off to the crowd
  • Caught in completely the wrong gear at Eiskurve
  • Sucked in way too early before Sprunghugel
  • Managed to be in wrong gear TWICE for Schwalbenschwanz
  • Completely blew the apex on Galgenkopf1
The guy hasn't a clue.

Here we go... what? What was the point you were trying to prove? That someone in car X is faster than someone in car Y, because they are more confident on the circuit they're racing on? Because that is pretty obvious to anyone who isn't an amoeba.

That the mini is even remotely as fast as a Porsche GT3? Because that is laughable rofl

What were you seriously expecting out of this thread OP?!
