Get the 5 hour Revo trial. Once you've tried it, you won't want to go back to standard.

Is this the Mk1 or Mk2 Cupra?

Thanks guys, i'll check out the seatcupra.net. its a mk1, seen an advert for localish performance centre, doing remaps at £230 incl vat, they reckon it should take it to 210-220 bhp, does that sound realistic?? oh and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!

You've not been specific about which flavour of Leon Cupra, I don't really know alot about the later ones but on the Mk1 (1998-2006) I'd be looking at a re-map from Revo or similar, good gains for not that much cash. Last time I checked they were around £300+VAT and on the regular 1.8T you'd get about 30bhp an extra wedge of tourque as well.

Ask advice from the seat forum, they will tell you best where to go. Make sure you get value for money.. dont just got to the closest or cheapest place.

Make a thread here:

You can post up pictures and details about the car.

How much extra are you guys paying for insurance with these remaps?

I once got a quote of an additional £300 and it put me off getting one on my R26.

I imagine it just puts alot of people off telling the insurance company in the first place and instead taking the risk of the insurance company denying payout in the event of an accident.

When your old map gets a bit old and you get a new map. That's a remap.

I would like to know this also. I've never carried out any performance enhancing modifications to any of my cars, but I also have a Leon Cupra on the drive now and the lure of a Revo map and a few other bits is very tempting.

PS - I've joined SeatCupra.net and there is a lot of knowledge and info there. Trouble is, reading too much on there could temp you into allsorts of mods and bank balance threatening work!
