Hi,
I need the assistance of the PH collective for a project...

I've searched t'internet but can't find all the figures I need... What I'm after is the following:

Ford Anglia 123e
Power output
Torque
Fuel consumption
Top speed
0 - 60

Ford Escort Mark I, 1.6 Kent
Power output
Torque
Fuel consumption
Top speed
0 - 60

Ford Escort Mark III, 1.6 CVH
Power output
Torque
Fuel consumption
Co2 emmissions (unlikely to have been tested)
Top speed
0 - 60

Ford Focus Mk 1
Power output
Torque
Fuel consumption
Co2 emmissions
Top speed
0 - 60

I have a couple of figures, so can cross reference the PH numbers, but if anyone has a "Big Book of Ford stuff that no-one else will find interesting", I'm the other person in the world who wants the info!

Thanks for any assistance.

A standard 1.6 Kent never had 98 bhp. A standard Twin-cam only had 105 and that was considered to be vastly quicker!
As far as the Mk I is concerned, the 1.6 Kent motor was only fitted to the later Mexico variant. From memory, my '78 Mk II 1600 Sport had 75bhp.

Ford's figure for the 1600 crossflow in the Mk1 Mexico is 86 BHP DIN - that's from the Escort Mexico/RS2000 workshop manual. On that basis an SAE gross figure of 98 BHP sounds reasonable.

98 SAE (gross) is much different to the 87 bhp (DIN, net). Different measures of the same engine.

Just busy making sure I have all your info, OP.

you need Ivan Bergs Guiness book of car records,50,000 car model/versions listed including factory or aftermarket specials. Its hard core porn for anoraks!
this book is four inches thick full of lists of stats you wouldnt believe and cars you never knew existed.
I have honestly spent days lost in stupid lists like:
highest piston speed upto 4000cc,lowest fuel consumption, highest gear ratio upto 160mph etc.
there are some real obscure statistics in there.

The previous poster was right if he meant later Mexico, as in the fact that the Mex didn't appear until late 1970, 2 years after the Mk1 Escort was first introduced.

Thank you for your help.

Once again the PH wisdom is a winner.
