Hi can anyone help? My son has a restored 1961 Beetle which is off road at the moment and is in his front garden. He would like to rent some space in a safe garage or barn or whatever within reasonable distance of his home near Billingshurst in West Sussex. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Presume he has tried all the usual?

Local housing authority, estate agents, local newspaper classifieds etc.

Try the internet, for beetle clubs near by maybe.

If I was him, I'd go knocking on any nearby farmers' doors - have they got the space anywhere - old barn, next to the tractor etc. Can then be covered and easy access if the barn is open.

Other than that try some local industrial estates - might be some start up business with 20,000ft of space (waiting to expand in it) that ain't being all used ... they could maybe do with the extra dosh. Just sit it in a corner. Access might be restricted though.

get onto the council , they will rent you a garage for around a £1 a day maybe less

scout round the local council estates and find a "nice" area , some are better than others
