I frequently see what I think are quite overpriced cars on account of their low miles.

For example; 1993 Lexus LS400 with 54k on the clock in the classifieds at £6k.

I feel that is somewhat high, especially on a car that wears miles very well and is bulletproof.

Buying this example for me would be like burning £3.5k as I could quite easily make it average miles in a short space of time.

I don't think I use my car that often but I have done 7k miles in less than 5 months.

Perhaps if it was a delicate older Ferrari or something else that is likely to be quite worn after high miles but average daily drivers to me don't seem to warrant spending twice as much on because the miles are half of what you'd expect for the age of the vehicle.

Anyone else feel that spending way over the average price for low miles is worth it on a daily driver?

Not really, the masses still have this idea in their head that they must buy low mileage cars.

This is why a lot of cars in the classifieds are overpriced, because people will still buy them.
