VIN plate in the wrong place??

Hi guys, newbie here!
Just looking at some Ford Ka's online (queue abuse..!)
I noticed one on AT, had a pic of the engine bay but the VIN plate wasn't in the right place
It's usually right from the centre but this one was on the left more towards the wing
Is there a good explanation for this?
Im sort of thinking that its a Cat C/D and the VIN plate was taken off at some stage.
Haven't HPI checked it yet (the website I usually use is down) but the seller forwarded me the MOT test number which all seems fine
