We've got a car with a damaged rear bumper and a dent in the rear hatch. Will this cause it to fail the MOT? All the lights, number plate etc are present and correct.

Depends if their are any sharp edges where people can injure themselves as the brush past.

Other than that it should be OK from what you have said.

No sharp edges as such and I can always trim them and tape over the holes...

Just thinking about trying to sell her with a 12 month MOT as the insurance company have written her off and the local scrappies are offering £80. Surely someone will buy a damaged Corolla with 12 month MOT and FSH for £250 or so.
