Don't know if this is the best place to ask?

I'm trying to find out if my 03 Vauxhall Combo van is Euro 4 compliant. Just got the Tax disc renewal through and they want £200, a Euro 4 Light Goods Vehicle is only £125.

I'm sure the DVLA have ways of knowing? However I would like to check/challenge if possible.

I've googled 'Euro 4 vans' etc but just get lists of vans for sale, any suggestions?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_emission_sta...

There's a table around halfway down the page, tells you the max Co2 etc. allowed for each of the standards, you'll have to find the emissions figures for your car online.

A what now? You've got a Mercedes engine in your Combo?!?

Is the 1700 the model number, or the engine size, because they're not the same.

The current model Combo came with 4 different engines at least - 1.7Di, 1.7DTI, 1.7CDTI, 1.3CDTI. You need to tell us which engine you have.

If it's a DI then it's Euro3 for sure. The 1700 is the model number, which relates to it's payload capacity. The engine is coincidentally a 1.7.

The 1.7DTI is also Euro3, and the 1.7DI is just the same engine without the intercooler, outputting 63hp instead of 75hp.

The 1.3CDTI in the Combo is the first Euro4 engine.

Yes the engine is a 1.7 (1688cc) I'm pretty sure it has a turbo. It is an old Royal Mail van. A friend has an 04 model which has the 1.3 engine. Where do you get this info? Do you know of an official list?

It's only a small van so is not affected by the LEZ.
