So the new Noble had been lambasted as an over priced folly by most people and I have to say I was one of them. Well that was until I had a close look and a chat with the guy that is building them at the Autosport show yesterday.

Now I have to admit that I am still unconvinced by the styling but take my hat off to them for the fit and finish of the production car. The panel gaps were very good on the carbon body as was the paint. The interior was again done to a high standard. The engine looked almost lost in the huge engine bay which apparently was built like this to allow heat management. This I think was bad packaging as the engine in a mid engined car should be the focal point. On the plus side it did mean that you had easy access to the rear suspension and the gearbox.

So is it worth over £200k? I would still have to say no. If it was priced close to the 458 and the MP4-12C then it would provided a faster analogue alternative to these more digital cars.

With 650hp on tap the various magazines that have tested it have said it is massively quick and faster than the alternatives as well as having great handling.

It’s a shame that it might be killed stone dead by being over priced.

By the way Romans are apparently going to be the main dealer

Please post some decent pics if you have any as mine were crap.

What did you guys think?

Those pics show the glass fibre bodied prototype. The metalic grey one at the show was a customer car. Apparently it was off to a photo shot after the show
