I need 2 new front tyres but my back ones are fine. I should of rotated them really but alas I did not.

The tyres I have on the front seem to be out of stock everywhere (hankook ventus v12 evo's. Good tyre if you can find some) does it matter if i put different tyres on the front compared to the back?

It's a fwd car.

No, providing you're keeping the same kind of tyre and don't mix tyres on an axle.

Standard practice would be to put the rears on the front, and new tyres on the rear. No problem with using a different make, so long as they're the right size and performance rating, and from a respected manufacturer. Just don't let the tyre dealer sell you some cheap st you've never heard of this time...

Now turn that boost down smile

Targa im not sure if your suggesting the hankooks are cheap st, magazines and tyre comparisons were raving about them last year they are fantastic tyres.

I got mine from black circles last time, they don't even have them on their website in my size anymore.

It isn't usually a problem as long as they aren't massively different tyres, as long as you're aware that it will probably have some effect on the balance of the car and you figure out what that effect is - you can then choose which tyres are on each end to suit your preference.

It was only a tongue in cheek comment. But do make sure you don't end up with cheap own brand "oh, they're xxx's budget brand mate" st from Kwak Fat.
