missing my old vw beetle

hi i just wondered if there is anyway of finding my old 1300 blue left hand drive manual beetle reg YRS 362L, i would love to have her home again any help greatly recieved

Check Vehiclelicense.gov.uk, which says

That means the car was last taxed in 1997. Which is not a good sign, although not absolutely fatal, because it could be in a shed somewhere awaiting restoration (SORN didn't come in until the next year).

Sadly this doesn't tell you if it's been scrapped or not. You'll need someone with access to the proper DVLA computer to do that.

Cheers davepoth for the link, just checked my old VW Beetle 1600 and the site says it has a valid Tax, I miss it too.

My 1963 mini was listed as also having a valid tax disc!

Thankyou DAVEPOTH for link and for finding info out for me , i was probs last person to tax her, she went to her new home that same year, the guy who took her on was going to take her off the road and give her a new floor and then she would have been sorted, i left the area so don't know if he ever did or not. I hope he hasn't sent her to Beetle heaven.
