I dearly hope it's true and that it's a Vanden Plas, but for a first post it seems a bit strange. If it's genuine then get the pics up. If not then my semi is about to go as limp as a Metro's leaky hydrospastic suspension.

You have no pics of a 13 year resto ?

Could we have the first Troll claiming to own an Allegro ?

WTF with the bloody noses BTW ? Out accelarated a Viva or 1.3 Marina ?

I wasn't asking for pics for the OP to prove anything, I'm just strange enough to like looking at Allegros. Especially in brown.

Disappointed now!

I was more worried about the marriage bit myself, but you make a fair point.

I'm not taking the mickey, other than insinuating that your original post could be interpreted as you having married your car.

I am one of probably rather few people on here who would be genuinely interested to hear and see more. But you can't come on and start talking about outrunning sports cars without giving some details. You know, like is it an estate or saloon? Series 1, 2 or 3? Vanden Plas? Quartic wheel? And what's it got under the bonnet?

Do you mean the rust starts bubbling through as soon as it rains ?

You spent 13 years restoring it, then drove it for 5 mins?.

Well of course... he had to test it before putting it back in the garage, ready for his brother's birthday... Brother has somehow managed to confuse talk of the 4K restoration of a 100,000 mile car he's getting with a Gallardo! wink

Its the vanden plas and what I meant was that because I restored it in the garden the wife had enough of it.it will roar again in the spring time when it will go to shows and meander along the seafront with style.Watch out for when it comes up behind you.
