Hey people,
I was driving to work one morning when a nurse in a blue corsa decided it was fine to pull out of a side road without looking (sighs). Road was wet and I ended up on somedody's driveway hitting a wall which in turn fell on another car.
A few pictures for you all to share my pain:

I am now waiting for the insurance company to give me a valuation. I thought it'd be wise to have a good defence ready at hand for then. I would greatly appreciate any help valuing my car:
2004 (53Reg) A3 (8P) 2.0 TDI 140 Sport DSG with 89K on the clock
Xenon and washers
Symphony system with the built-in cd changer
cruise control
hide-away tow bar (option worth 1500 quid)
sunroof
rear blind
and the usual a3 stuff like dual zone ac, esp, heated door mirrors etc..

I guess the fact that it had a brand new turbo, cambelt and water pump won't make a difference?
Thanks

Max

p.s the nurse was not even good looking...far from that

Bills showing recent work and spend should be submitted to help your case. Find the most expensive examples of similar cars on Autotrader to fight your case.

Is this your insurance company or hers? If yours, WHY!?!!

I doubt her insurance company would be too concerned if her car never ran into anything.

I'd say something between 6 and 8k.

Reject the first offer as a matter of course.

I'll get searching for those bills then, thanks for that!
I claimed it through my insurance and they claim it back from hers. Since i'm not liable my ncb is not affected.
I can't complain i've been left with a replacement car for the last month brand new black a3 sportback s-line.

She already had another accident less than a year ago and was paying a 2.5k premium for her 13 y-o 1lt engine!!

Even though it wasn't your fault and in theory you're NCB is intact you're premium will go up the next time because yo had an accident. Unfortunately, you are now seen as a higher risk because you had an accident. Unfair I know, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles when you're dealin with theiving scumbags

Discovered this as well when getting a renewal. The car was ran into while stationary at a junction, other driver admitted full liability etc but still made a 10% increase to my insurance frown

i was involved with a none fault accident last year, i ended of taking the 3rd offer from the insurance company which was £8K more than the first, after presenting my service history book, MOT's certificate and supplying example values of similar vehicles for sale, and purchase receipt

was still pushing for a better offer but they wouldnt go any further, they said i would have to go through a lengthy complaints procedure

i have x2 other insurance policies which have since been renewed, and those havent increased
