Insurance help please - 2 car policy?

Hi, I am posting for a neighbour who would like some help finding an insurance policy to suit him....

"I am 70 years of age own two cars and do less than 12000 miles a year where can I find an insurer who will provide a policy covering only me as driver where the price reflects the fact that I can only drive one vehicle at any given time."

Be interested to see some recommendations here. Run two cars, only use one at a time, but have to pay for two damn policies. Both cars are modified though so makes trying to go through normal insurers a pain in the backside!

Johnny Smith off Fifth Gear was advocating Adrian Flux on twitter for his 7 cars, but it was an online multi-car policy and I doubt my 70y.o. neighbour would be up to it.
