To good to be true?

I'm not actually considering this......okay maybe I'm a little tempted, but other than the obvious bad colour choice surely there has to be something wrong with this?
Rover 75 V6 for under £700

its a cheap car, but just a trade car/trade price so when you've done the clutch and see what else it might need its not that cheap but then again you could just use as is for a while I've used cars with slipping clutches before you just drive accordingly it might be fine for ages.
I hadn't actually seen the clutch issue, was blinded by the price lolSteamer said:
If I owned that car I'd want to spend as much time as possible driving it..
..at least that way I wouldnt have to look at the vomit inducing green paint!! - What colour is that exactly? Baby st green? Lethargic leek soup green?
They are calling it Metallic Sage, now I'm sorry but I've never seen Sage that colour...at least that way I wouldnt have to look at the vomit inducing green paint!! - What colour is that exactly? Baby st green? Lethargic leek soup green?

Can you still get parts for Rovers anymore? Obviously not genuine, but will there be a situation where even pattern parts dry up?
I've read somewhere else on here (can't remember which thread) that parts are still very plentiful and will be for some time.Jayho said:
Correct me if I'm wrong... But I thought that the V6 Rovers were 2.5l?
Parts are plentiful and not too expensive (obviously a tad more than your usual french boxes) but altogether not too bad.
Both 2.0 and 2.5 V6 units were offered (although the 2002 1.8 turbo offers the same performance as the 2.0 V6 but with better economy)Parts are plentiful and not too expensive (obviously a tad more than your usual french boxes) but altogether not too bad.

Some were 2.0l with around 150hp. While the parts are cheap, there isn't much space in the 75's engine bay so it will quite an expensive job unless you can do it yourself (they aren't complicated, just awkward).Parts are plentiful and not too expensive (obviously a tad more than your usual french boxes) but altogether not too bad.

I never understood why they didnt offer the 1.8T in the ZS, would make a nice change from the V6 on the economy level!
