Widest performance difference within a model?

Seeing the thread on widest performance between owned cars, what is the biggest performance difference within a model?
E.g. BMW 320d to M3/mapped 335d or Renault Clio 1.2 to Clio V6?
Either on bhp, 0-60, etc.

escort 1.3 to a full blown cossie?
audi a4 1.6 to rs4
It's got to be the Lancer.
4.1 Sec 0-60 for the FQ-400 Evo X plays 11.8 for the 1.5 Mivec GS2.
That's run of the mill saloon into hypercar territory.
If we're splitting hairs, they list the Evo as a separate model from the Lancer though.

Not quite as big a difference as some of them mentioned, but what about: Focus 1.4 - Focus RS, and Golf 1.4 - R32...
Nowhere close. - Although the Focus RS500 is getting on for a very fast car!As for the golf.... The R32 isn't that fast! I'd imagine the new hotter GTi is the faster car. Still nowhere near and evo though.

I'd have thought the gulf between the E60 520d and M5 to be even more vast.
Yup, that's got to be a good candidate for the prize. It empasises the stunning value-for-money of entry models where, after all, you still get the same thoroughly engineered and properly built motor car!
