Just joined up and thought a quick introduction would be a good idea.

Currently driving a Leon Cupra R and, with my wife expecting our first child shortly i am thinking i need a slightly more grown up/practical car!!! I know... whipped!!!

Am looking at BMW tourings at the moment but have noticed the BMW section so will post in there.

Anyway, hello to everyone and hope to tap into the knowledge base.

Dont do it, I still regret getting rid of my R even 5 years on. They've got loads of room and a huge boot so not sure what you'll gain other than a tad more rear room.

Cheers for the comments.

I am looking at E46 BM's, torn between the 330d sport or the 330i sport (has to be the sport though).

I will do the search although think i am pretty settled on the BMW (gets the wifes approval)is just what engine to go for that is troubling me.

I have to admit i do like the Leon but i find the boot quite small (particulalry width wise). Is a good fun car though.

Luke.

That is exactly what i am after, thank you. Only thing is that is a auto and i really want a manual.

I think i have found one, very local to me too, just emailed the dealer so hopefully is still available.

I had a look through the BMW section on here and think my mind is definitely made up that petrol 330 is the way forward.

Cheers
