Getting proof of work done (while under previous owner)

Is it possible for a garage to send you proof rather than just confirming any work done over the phone?

Previous owner had the turbo and an injector replaced but didn't have a receipt. When I bought the car he phoned them there and then for me to confirm, would just be handy to have as part of the history though.
