I pulled in at a petrol station today and filling up when a complete moron pulled in the set of pumps next to me, She basicly parked her car bang smack in the middle of the pumps so no one else unless on a bike could use the other pumps..

And as if this wasnt bad enough she didnt even pull forward to the furthest pumps so blocking 4 pumps in total!!

The best thing was the guy in the shop wouldnt turn on her pump, she started waving angrily at the guy to switch them on!! He replied over the loud speaker "When you learn how to park and show some common courtesy to others I will let you have some fuel so untill then"

She obviously was such a disgrace and an obnoctious cow she wedged her fat arse back into the car and drove off with her horn going!!!

Fair play that man!!!! ten out of ten,

Don't you despise those people who can only go to pumps where the filler is on the same side as their petrol cap - so they don't have to risk not being able to fill up because they are so far away ? So causing a queue.

Those exact people are the same people who when asked at the supermarket checkout "Do you need help packing?" really really really need to say yes but instead say no, then spend 20 minutes getting dearest Tiddles cat of Sheba just in the right place in the bag whilst other items such as the Daily Mail, Sanatogen and the Leslie Crowther autobiography piles up.

If they made the hoses long enough you might actually be able to reach the other side ...

I've not owned a car yet that is too wide to reach the other side.

The last time I heard an unusual announcement at a petrol station, I was filling up when a Mr Kipling van pulled in.

The announcement was thus:

"Mr Kipling...............................we sell your cakes."

The filler is behind the drivers door so in the middle of the car the only way you could reach it from the wrong side would be to open both front windows

Mine is. If I try the reaching the other side trick the hose is so short that the nozzle will only go in upside down, which means the fking click stop thing cuts in after every 5ml of petrol. It's st, and annoying. But not as bloody annoying as sanctimonious tts who post "go to the other side then" every time this subject comes up on PH.

Get an old Series 1. Fuel tanks under the drivers seat. So if you're using the left hand side one - it's in through the passenger door, across the passenger and then into the tank. smile

I always used to go to the "wrong" side when I had a company car and was doing a lot of miles and buying fuel every other day - it's easier to get out of the car away from the pumps and I didn't care about dragging the hose across the boot.

However in more and more stations it wouldn't reach so I stopped doing it. The big BP garage near home the hoses are miles too short - I asked why and they said it's done so people aren;t standing next to moving traffic as car pull up at the next pump, which I suppose makes a bit of sense.

Please for the love of god, go back and buy him a prize, he deserves one.

People that don't have the forward thinking and basic awareness to pull forward into a parking apace before they pay to free up a pump. Gah.
