Probably not. Spend a tenner on a 12V Compressor and check your tyre pressures once a week. Whilst your at it you can have a look at the tyre for any obvious damage etc.

The only aftermarket TPMS kit I've seen that I'd personally want is the Air Aware type. One of my friends has one in his Merc and it's fully wireless etc

Tried them when they first came out years ago and to be honest they weren't very good.

Check your pressures regularly and you don't need them

How do they work? The valve would have to be held open all the time wouldn't it? Doesn't seem very smart to me.

If the ones we've had on our company vans are to go by, which are similar but feature an LED flashing on pressure drop, then don't bother.
The threads of the valve cap are not designed to keep the air pressure in. As soon as you permanently depress the valve and rely on the threads for sealing you are asking for trouble in my opinion.
I've personally had one cap leak air and another not detect a 20psi pressure drop which was supposed to flash on a 5psi drop. I ditched them off my van and the company has finally seen sense and stopped fitting them after loads of similar complaints on a fleet of several thousand vehicles.
Just use your eyes and a pressure gauge, it'll work just as well and cost less.

£12 would get you a decent pressure gauge, instead of four inaccurate ones.
