Does this look suspicious

2006 Jag XJ

With full service history
Stamps

18.01.07 6312 miles
25.06.08 11,103 miles
26.07.09 16,526 miles
30.04.10 18,700 miles
17.08.10 28,395 miles

cars now covered 37,500 miles ,
from april 10 -Aug 10 the car covered 9,695 nearly 90 miles a day and from Aug - jan 11 same mileage

any reason to queery the cars relative lack of use then sudden hike in miles last year or is this just me being suspicious the stamps are from main dealerships

Does the sudden increase in mileage coincide with an owner change?

It's probably due a service within the next few tanks of fuel and the owner wants rid.

Yes looking at the service sheet the next service is due in 800 miles. Are you being overly suspicious? No way, check as much as you possibly can BEFORE parting with any money. There's another thread running where the guy has found a discrepancy after the event.

The thing is that the car will be just coming up to its first MOT, being an '07 so won't help much.

Change of owner should explain it, but I'd want at least £500 off for the imminent service

the cars an 06 Model and already has an MOT , however this is due in March ,

guess its probably worth contacting the garages to see what works previously been done on the car , how much would a 38k service be on an XJR ?
