A good mate of mine has just offered me a BMW 525d Sport, manual on a 52.

180k loads of history brand new Pirelli Neros. but pretty basic spec, Alcantara interior etc

What do you think? £1300

That's what I thought! Its practically shed money?!

I was thinking also that I could sell it on in 6 months or so and still make money?

I've never seen a facelift E39 that cheap before, let alone one with a decent engine and spec.

Fantastic body/wheels/colour combo.
Spend a day giving it a really good clean and it will look a lot classier than any brand new metal in the car park.

There are no 525d Sports on Autotrader under £3.5k, so yes you could make money on it

Definitely.

If you don't need/want it, then I'll have it. Would be perfect for me.

I have just rang him and said 'Yes I'll take it!'

I am very excited, I've always liked E39s.

Not sure how Mrs Wolfy is going to take it exactly boxedin

Give her the usual "it was a bargain, cheap to run, it'll be an investement" guff.

That W1NER definitely doesn't want or need it, and did you know he actually has an allergy to BMWs that would make him come out in a dreadful rash?

The right and proper thing to do would be to let me buy it - this afternoon if possible.

I currently stood in front of the mirror, practising my pitch (and my ducking skills) as we speak!

Hey, get off my bargain, no one was meant to know about that allergy!

Congrats Wolfy, enjoy. (Good luck with the Mrs!)
