Hmm, a load of rusted junk...but interesting enough to browse.
Guess most can't even be recycled - does the radiation level goes down with time (I assume this will take forever)?

I've no doubt some folk have seen this before, but I've been through it a few times over the years. It's really haunting.

She never rode a bike anywhere - she took a tour like everyone else, and took a helmet along to pose with.

And a motorbike?

No - hence the fact that no motorbike appears in the vast majority of the pictures.

I didn't know that - but even if it is a hoax, what's the problem? The real point if it is the pictures, the leftovers of human civilisation and the emotions the images promote. The fact she's not on a bike is neither really here nor there!

Here's the girl's actual site with lots more up to date photos that I've just found: http://www.elenafilatova.com/

If you want to enjoy the images for what they are, no problem I guess. But the romantic story of their creation is just that - a story.

English Russia dot com, the site with an even more severe effect on one's productivity than Pistonheads.

Yes to both... the really fierce stuff will have decayed long ago, but the slower-but-still-dodgy stuff is still there, and they'll have rusted away to nothing before it's low enough to be any use.
