Fitting a Parrot B/T kit to a MX5 with Bose - not possible?
Discussion
Just got off the phone to Halfords as I need (urgently!) to fit my MX5 with a Bluetooth hands free kit to link my iPhone to it.
They tell me that as it's got Bose it can't be done because there is no S.O.T Lead (also known as a "T harness" apparently) available for it.
That can't be right can it?
This is going to be a real problem for me, I need to be able to answer the phone in the car.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Depending on how brave you are it is still possible. Get your cutters out and chop the wires out. Actually, before you do that, get the wiring diagram for both the parrot and the Bose. All you are doing is putting hte parrot in between the Bose and the speakers so that it can mute the radio and play the phone. It also needs permanent 12v and a switched one as well which can both be taken the radio.
I have done it(not a Bose)and it is not too difficult but needs for you to be brave and label things. I got a couple of wires wrong and disabled the car at one point and blew a fuse at another. Might be worth pulling the fuse from the radio or disconnecting the battery before you start.
So, it can be done but not in 5 minutes like Halfords want to.
