Which is the most well behaved motorway?
Discussion
The meandering mind got me wondering which motorway has the most well behaved drivers.
My daily M4 commute between Swindon and Bristol is relatively pain-free.
Lane discipline is commendable and generally a pleasant enough experience. There are the occasional MLMs but, on the whole, it's certainly better than the M32 and M25.
I've not spent an enormous amount of time on other M-ways, but IME the M4 (or at least the stretch I do) is more relaxing than those I have travelled.
So over to you, which motorway of Great Britain has the most well behaved drivers?

Another vote for the M6 toll, although that's more down to light traffic.
I remember thinking the M20 northbound from the Eurotunnel was pretty good for about 20 miles, with everyone having just got off the train and driving with continental lane discipline until they remember they're in the UK

Empty Ones??
I drove back from London late on new years day, no MLM's, no Tailgating, No Lorry Racing, just 220 miles of bumpy, twisty tarmac and an average speed well into triple figures!
As above, the M62 where it isn't busy is quite good, top end of the M18, the A1M near Castleford are all reasonable, head west towards Leeds and it's a nightmare, M1, A1 and M18 south are terrible, and the A1 north past Wetherby seems to collect numpties!

If it wasn't for the irritably high amount of MLMs and OLMs I'd say the M55 would be a decent contender. They do seem to wake up pretty quick though and I've never really had to do the flashy/right indicator thingy to politely suggest they'd be better served in the inside lane
Put another way its nothing compared to the very few times I've had to use the M25. Calling that a Motorway is somewhat oxymoronic

I think it has far more to do with the time and day you use the motorway.
Not considering empty motorways, a busy commuting motorway is usually full of drivers who use motorways lots and generally know what they are doing and where they want to be. Whilst they're not fun, I can tolerate these.
But weekend motorways annoy the hell out of me. Users seem to have far less appreciation of lane discipline and every car joining tries to skip all the way to lane three immediately. Tailgating seems to get worse, as does domino braking. The weekend motorways seem to get congested by much less traffic than a commuting motorway can handle. I'll happily hand over the keys if much weekend travel is required.

A26 to Reims.Trouble with British motorways is that they are full of Brits. In fact, I would go further, and it pains me to say this, but the Scottish drive far better than us English! English motorways are just painful for the most part.
