Which do you prefer rwd,fwd or 4wd?
Discussion
My own thoughts:
RWD: tarmac when dry, damp, wet or sodden and on snow with reasonable grip, because I feel more in control. That's on road or track.
4WD: any surface where 2WD wouldn't be practical, so really slippery snow and ice, gravel or wet mud.
FWD: For laughs now and then, or occasional hire cars on holiday. No more than that thank you.

Would be a better thread if it was a poll that no one could make comments upon. Just a straight forward set of stats.
Anyway :-
1st Mid engined RWD (own one)
2nd Front engined RWD (own two)
3rd ??? Mid engined 4WD ??? never driven so unsure
4th Front engined 4WD (own one)
5th fwd (had a couple of them before I could afford a good car )

Think the poll thread has been done,so was just interested in reasons which was prefered.Anyway :-

Notice you have mid engined RWD,i havent driven this layout & you prefer it to front engined RWD,why the preference? is it better grip with engine nearer the driven wheels?

More grip cornering and accelerating, braking feels more stable and un related to performance there is something nice hearing the engine behind your head.Edited by Herman Toothrot on Tuesday 4th January 12:53
