This probably isn't the case here but if there's outstanding finance on the car and the seller keeps the money and goes back to Poland (for example) the finance company will try to recover the car from whoever it has been sold to. Never a good thing.

To me that speaks volumes about the way it’s been treated for the first part of its life. If I were looking for one of these (I'm not. I would rather eat my own st) then I would rather buy a cherished example than one that appears to have been neglected.

Do some of you guys really consider a car being dirty in the kind of weather we've had recently as a sign of neglect?! In the middle of summer perhaps, but my car was dirtier than that within 3 days / 100 miles following a wash during the recent snow etc but that doesn't mean it's not very well maintained. That being said if I was selling any car I'd certainly point it towards the local garage forecourt and get the pressure washer on the case before taking a photo.

I think that's a bit over the top. If I had £11k and wanted a DS3 I would certainly go and look it and run a HPI check etc, just because the advert/ picture is st it doesn't immediately mean its a scam or dodgy car.
