I stopped buying TopGear magazine a while ago.
Discussion
I can't remember the last copy I bought, the whole thing was getting a bit daft so many months ago I just stopped buying it, probably over a year ago. Until today...
What. The. fk?
It's like the motoring equivalent of Loaded now, lots of bright colours, big fonts, stupid little segments that are very like "it's new but is it any good?" from Fifth Gear. There seem to be more ads than ever before and it seems to be editorial policy to point and explain everything to the moronic readership, even Evo isn't this patronising.
What's going on here? Are they hoping to pick up the Max Power boys now their st magazine is dead?

I usually find I can read all the stuff that interests me whilst the OH shops the aisles at Tescos, so rarely buy it.
Do you take in a portable player to use the CDs/DVDs as well? I only bought it for the Stratos feature, but found myself too disappointed to even flick through to it yet. Maybe tomorrow.
£3.95.
its nowhere near as good as it used to be. but i bought the latest one for the lambo porsche segment and couple other reviews like the new bmw 1m. been interesting enough. always liked the clarkson and may and hammond colums (sp?) too. i prefer pistonheads for the news though :P

Top Gear - More a magazine for young children than for enthusiasts. I know Evo has had a fair bit of knocking from many on here recently, but its still the best publication out there IMO.
+1 i agree on the evo part. i too prefer it. seems more structured and easier to readGassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
