Is it just me or.......
Discussion
..is choosing what to have as your first post on a large established forum like PH a little bit daunting?
Taking those first tentative steps from 'lurker' to 'poster' I have decided not to go leaping in to a discussion on winter tyres (how many threads?), nor to throw up a link to Youtube that was first posted circa 1843.
Instead I have decided to share an entirely random thought that occured to me at work today while sat bored at my desk listening to the radio. I thought that I had heard the opening bars to 'Danger Zone' from Top Gun yet just as visions of heat haze obscured Tomcats filled my mind the song turned out to be 'Do they know it's Christmas'.
Booo. Gutted. Came back on later in the day and the opening bong/chime things do sound similar I feel.
Oh and festive greetings all

Post-pub musings? Anyways, welcome to PH. It seems like you can be some posters' Wingman anytime

Thanks for all the welcomes people! Toxicnerve, yes I work for a Mazda dealership but the MPS is all mine, not a company car. Thought it prudent to be seen driving something from the brand though. Customers quite often ask what I drive so a bit of loyalty to the marque often goes a long way.
I'll try and keep the quality of the grammar and spelling up to PH standards for future posts. I am aware that a slip of a comma can have the whole Earth tilting off its axis in here

When I worked at Audi it was completely the other way around...they'd ask what I drove, express shock that it wasn't an Audi and then ask why. Their faces were always a picture when I said: "Well I couldn't possibly afford to pay the bill I'm about to give you, sir."
