Lamborghini LP700-4 Spec Leaked

Dealer options guide reveals the numbers on the Murcielago replacement

A leaked dealer ordering guide has revealed the vital statistics for the Lambhorghini Murcielago replacement.

Although the new car is widely expected to be called the Aventador, the brochure merely refers to the car as the LP700-4, indicating that Lamborghini may not have yet made a final decision on the car's name.

But whatever it's called, the LP700-4 is clearly going to be a mighty piece of work.

Its 6.5-litre V12 will be good for 690bhp and 509lb ft of torque, and that power will be transferred to the road via a 7-speed 'independent shift rod' transmission (with shift times of just 50 milliseconds) and a Haldex four-wheel-drive system.

Tipping the scales at just 1575kg, the LP700-4 shaves a solid 200kg from the Murcielago's kerb weight, resulting in some stellar claimed performance figures: The documents suggest the LP700 will be good for 0-62mph in 2.9secs and for a top speed of 217mph.

Highlights of the spec include a transparent engine cover, pearl-effect and matt paint, and a selection of two-tone interiors.

Click on the pictures below to check out a more extensive list of the options available.

Do you think we should tell them there is a typo on the Technical Spec page?

Am I alone in being insulted by these manufacturers thinking I am going to believe all the "leak" bollcoks?

Oh, and "Highlights of the spec include a transparent engine cover" REALLY?

'Leaked' - although better than that shocking attempt from Lotus.

Nice car though.

I wanted a hybrid...

Consisting of a mixture of a V12, machine guns and napalm dispensers. Cry havoc!

Is robotized even a proper word?

I think with all the spelling mistakes we should take this with a large pinch of salt.

It's some sort of Italian thing, their FIAT FIRE engines were robotised, which meant they were machine assembled.

Most others try to make a big thing of fully hand built.
