Unique Pagani Zonda Absolute Revealed

Another one-off Zonda - and it's still not ours...

Pagani has created yet another unique Zonda, this time called the Pagani Zonda Absolute.

It's a right-hook example headed for a customer in Hong Kong and, while that city's clogged streets might not seem like the ideal destination for such an extreme supercar, if you've got the money then why the heck not?

Pagani isn't exactly brimming with technical information about the new car, but our best guess is that it's broadly based on the Zonda Cinque (whose technical specs you can peruse at the bottom of this article). We also think it's the sixth time Zonda's done a one-off of this sort (but we're not so good with numbers...).

Still, whatever its provenance, destination or specification, we reckon the Zonda looks pretty darn mean in the Absolute's combination naked carbon fibre and Italian Tricolore stripes...

Is it just me, or does the "1 of 1" script look marvellously tacky?

Agree. Its a shame as the rest of the car is absolutely awesome.

Any zonda is fantastic and pretty rare - unique/low volume runs seem almost irrelevant given the overall low production numbers?

I'd like to turn up next to this guy with exactly the same car, just to see the look on his face as his world collapses around him. smile

Can't wait to see the new Pagani at Geneva :P

Most Zonda's are pretty bespoke and unique from one another.

You can specify any colour, trim, brake upgrades, exterior enhancements you want.

Rarely will you find two Zondas that look identical.

After a long string of 10/10 special edition Zonda's I've finally opted for a zero score in protest. This is getting as boring and predictable as Lotus.

Wouldn't vote it down soo much, infact I just couldn't be botherd atall :P but agreed, Pagani really need to stop rehashing the same model over and over and just make a completely new car already.

If they just called the car a Zonda and left it at that I think we would all be fine with it but the constant here's another 1 off is getting really tiresome.

Don't give each one it's own name and tacky 1 of 1 or 1 of 5 badges and just put all the differences, however deep they run and expensive they are down to being options.

Much as it was when it was a production model, I very much doubt any of them were identical either.

Thats one of the major things that puts me off getting one, they are just so bloody common, I cant be bothered to go through all the rigmarole of customizing one so that it stands out from everyone elses car, I mean they are like litter on the streets.

Oh in case it needs confirming the other thing that puts me off is the price, and the fact I have no where near enough money.frownfrown

I guess everytime they sell one of these bespoke zondas, its another few pennies in the pot for development of their next car

Pagani dont have the heritage or presitge of ferrari or lamborghini and the wealth that they now bestow. Let us not forget it was only ten years ago or so that Pagani sold their first zonda so every bit of extra cash helps i guess!

That said, I do wish they would just hurry up with the zonda's replacement!

So how is this zondas fault? Are they claiming its a new car? no.
So a super rich dude rings up and says I'd like you to build me a one off, they build it. So what's everyone's issue?
There are basically a bespoke manufacturer anyway, they don't have a production line like Porsche. Personally I spend the money on that rather than a Veyron.

It doesn't matter that they're not saying these are brand new models, it's just tedious that there are soo many one offs they keep making. If Bugatti start making hundreds of variants of the Veyron and claiming each will be the last then people will get just as bored and aggitated with them.
