Clarion in car hi fi
Discussion
Not sure if this is right forum for this, but it is hi fi related. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these:

Basically are they any good? Seems like a good spec, but £100 seems suspiciously cheap. I want something quite discreet and OEM like (I've finally got sick of the flashy sony unit that came with my Alfa). I liked the look of the Becker Gran Prix but it seems that they've stopped making those and the prices are getting a bit silly if you can find one. The Clarion seems to offer similar stying and features for a lot less.
Anyway any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I bought a Sony unit a couple of years ago that had ipod connectivy, audio jack and a front USB for about £100 has been excellent and can't find fault with it. What I've liked best is the front USB. 8gb memory stick on my keyring and I can just plug it straight in the front without ever having to worry about losing it or having my car broken into and it being stolen (as they cost about £10 to replace) as opposed to an expensive ipod.
I'd recommend having a look at the current Sony range.

I have this and the sound, even without replacing the speakers in my Golf (and previously Passat), has been brilliant:
