Fast 4 door saloon ??

Guys, i am looking for a decent fast 4 door car, say £10k obvious choice is a mitsubushi evo, as i have had one in the past. Unless anyone has any other obvious alternatives??

Tough one! If you'd said fast 4 door saloon for 10k, my response would have been an Evo. My good friend has owned one for the past 4 years and they're awesome cars. Should be able to get a really nice one for 10k! Not much that car match its speed,handling and practicality.

I would recommend an Evo - I borrowed a friends EVO 9 to tour europe last year when my Griff was delayed off road, great all round car but be warned they are not the most fuel economical - infact I would say less than the Griff based on a previous years euro tour.

MG ZT 260 V8 + Dreadnought supercharger conversion.... 400BHP, RWD, great handling, solid build.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I used to have an Evo 9GT. Would have another but too pricey. My Griff actually replaced the EVO !!!
Actually quite intrigued by the Mazda MPS 6 though.....

i think the op has a lot of good suggestions in this thread, but going with the hugely expensive to repair barge ideas what about an xjr or audi s4? a mondeo st220 would be a sensible shout.

having driven most of these cars though the imprezas and evos are easily the most fun and really feel like events when driving them.

Ever considered a late Galant VR4? If you liked the EVO then you will like a VR4. Bigger and comfier but with the same drivetrain and approx 280bhp. I've got the estate version (Legnum) and it's a great car. Pretty poor fuel economy though.

well i have driven lots of cars but i have never driven a tvr of any sort, but as you have one and have had an impreza i will take your word for it, they do make a great sound too.
