O/T Euro breakdown

Hi guys and Girls,

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on a bit of a pickle I find myself in.

I recently took a road trip to europe in my Audi. I was going to take my Tiv but decieded if i needed to sleep in the car, an estate would be a wiser option

I have car insurance with Aflux for my tiv, which gave me a great price and cover.
I have euro breakdown cover also with them.

Anyway, I break down in italy in audi. Phone euro assistance and they briskly get me home via a hire car. a taxi ride to get hire car (350 euro's) and to get my car towed to a local garage in italy.

The garage claim that the diesal injection pump has gone and will cost me 2500 euro's.
To which I ask euro assistance to get the car back to me in the UK.

At this point euro assistance check my cover with Aflux and Aflux state I am not covered with the audi, only the tvr.

So now it looks like I will not only have a bill to get audi fixed. I will be having a bill from euro assistance and will have to get my audi back to the UK off my own back.
This is looking like a lot of money for a 3k motor!!!

any advice anyone?

I would check yourself with Aflux just to make sure. I have Euro cover through Manning UK. they use a firm called ALPS and they only cover the TVR. I have tried to get my everyday car covered but they only cover what they (Manning) insure. Aflux maybe correct.

If they are correcct try making them an offer to settle as they may say yes and it'll help you slightly.
