Ok, one for the dreamers;

Given the choice between the two, which would you have?

I think I'd prefer the F50. I've always preferred the styling of it, which is maybe down to the fact it was produced during the time I started getting interested in cars.

Both are legends in their own right, but which do you guys prefer?

(Just a friendly discussion)

I've always loved the F50, my brother prefers the F40. He was an 80's child, I was a 90's child. Guess a lot of why I like it comes down to that it was the ultimate Ferrari at the time I got into cars too.

f40 every time, preferably a black one please. i really don't like the styling of the f50. also the f40 came along in my childhood to eclipse the countach and porsche 959 in the poster battle for wallspace. the f50 came after the mclaren f1 and didn't raise ferrari's game enough given the 10yrs that passed [imo].

The F50.
Pukka F1 engine, the engine is a stressed member (hehe) in the chassis, targa top for the full 5.1 sound system... cloud9
I love the F40, but the howling scream of the F50 wins it for me!

From what I've read the F50 would edge it on pure driving enjoyment - but yeah its not the most attractive candidate when parked next to an F40.

F50. Better to drive and less of a fanboy cliche than the F40.

Just to add to the discussion, can I ask, is the F50 actually considered a legend in the same way the F40 is?
