Does anyone know anything about these - 1st time I've ever stumbled accross them?

Personal taste, obviously, but I think they look amazing.
Most of the car mag reviews via google are very positive.
I was looking at a Caterfield for track/occaisonal road use but having seen these.....

Anyone own one, know someone who's had one? Driven one???!!
I'm useless with a spanner so I'd be worried re reliability on such low volume beastie but I suspect I'd forgive it a lot for the way it looks and goes.

evo did a test of (if i remember correctly) BROOKE VS CATERHAM VS ARIEL ATOM. you might want to look that up.
brooke basically came out 3rd (of three) but development has kept on at brooke so i have heard. to be honest when you're getting that extreme i reckon you'd have to be very good to notice the difference.
if i were in the market i'd definitely give them a chance. plus it's a chance to go for a sort of Cooper/BRM liveried car!
they use a ford duratec so plenty of options there. go down the NA tuning or supercharging routes.

i bought the red prototype brooke 260 RR about 2 years ago, and it's straight-line performance is in keeping with its power / torque to weight ratio.
it also now corners and rides well on A and B roads on its R888s, after i reduced its's bump and rebound settings to half its factory settings (previously it was far too stiff and nervous for normal roads )
driving it is a very visceral experience , due to the exposed cockpit and the wonderful cosworth duratec engine noise
the right-hand gear shift also makes it special
luggage space is almost non-existent, but having said that we have been down to gascony in it for a 10 day holiday(500miles in 1 day was trying but tolerable ), with soft bags stuffed into the passenger foot-well
you need an understanding travel companion
