Hello all.

I've been a forum member for a while now but have never understood the whole 335d mapped thing. Can some one point me in the right thread direction, I get the whole shadow thing, but not this.

Anyway. Driving around Coryton roundabout in Cardiff this afternoon I see a black 335d drive past, I instantly thought "mapped" to myself. I wimsed that it would be interesting to a PH sticker in the window or something similar as thats the model (i'm pretty sure?) that's referred to.

Consider then my agastment as I glance at the number plate and see it read MAP **9 eek (not sure if the fella who ever he is wants his plate on here so...) Coincidence? Or is this one of you horrible lot perpetuating the myth/joke/theme?

That is all.

The only number plate to watch for is MAP 335D! See one of those and you know that it will be faster than anything seen before. You have been warned! biggrin

Its a great car, much quicker than you would think. Easily lives with E46 M3'S and M5's on the road.
Wrong - its another diesel BMW, depreciating at lightspeed and will not be remembered, engine excepted possibly. For a bit. Or not.

Identical performace to the 335i on the road also. (Have tried with a friend who has one)

10bhp between them on the rolling road.
But the 335i, and the 330i will be the purer driving experience, and the true petrol heads choice.

But the 335d boasting amazing torque compared.
rolleyes Usual diesel owner wafffle to mak the owner feel better.

Getting the picture....Its a good car, don't get me wrong but the fanboy stuff is just too much.

Talking of Pedant's, how can you spell the same word 'Pedant/Pedent' on consecutive sentance's incorrectly?? tsk....

I mean the 'a' and the 'e' on the keyboard are miles away, so it's not just a typo...
