Word of advice guys.

Spinning your car on the way home from the cinema is NOT a good way to impress your girlfriend.

I learned that one the hard way tonight!

Oops!!

That is all

Nope, treacherous corner, Too slow for gear of choice, made novice mistake of chagin gear during a corner, Cue liftoff oversteer, Made second novice mistake of braking as i bricked it, cue back end coming round, tried to correct but over corrected, cue going sideways. Tried to correct again but front end hit a curb.

New wishbone now needed.

DOH!!!!

Oh, and if you like Seth Rogan films, Observe and Report is a bit of a letdown.

I have to admit, I am always curious as to the conversations that follow immediately after such disasters as the one you describe--- so, do tell

Not in Worthenbury it aint.

Imagine a road used by st towing tractors all day (lots of mud and diesil) then add in some rain, and then a dash of novice drive and you have a recipy for a spin.

OOOO the joys

ok, this is how this one went

me: oops
beth: well, that was different
me: sorry about that
beth: the car ok?
me: (as i turn it round to face the right way) Dont think so.
beth: why whats up?
me: Tracking out, but its probably worse than that.

Then more me appologising (this was the 'first date')
get to hers (was only like 1/4 of a mile)

As we get out of the car
beth: whats wrong with it them?
me: (on hands and knees looking under tha car) bent wishbone...Bugger.
beth: I'll see if my dad can give you a lift home.

In the end my dad drove 15miles to escort me whilt i drove a crippled golf 15 miles home at 25mph.

To the garage tomorrow to get a repair quote.

Anoying this is i bent the very same side wishbone 5 months ago when i came round a corner and hit a patch of black ice.

With regards to my Land Rover/Dock incident I think I said:

"fk we nearly went in the dock"

She said:

"Yeah I know" in that womanly condescening tone.
