Topping up the oil in my Passat at the weekend and I notice something glinting down by the radiator - I look closer and, to my surprise, I find a cake slice server thing in there. Confused? Very....

Is it just me?

While building my first kit car, my neighbour's cat used to sleep in the engine bay.

Problem was that he was deaf, and I was paranoid that I'd drive off with him sleeping in there. Luckily (from a certain point of view), he died before I finished it.

Edited to remove unnecessary quoting.

It gives the respondent a reminder of what he's responding to while he types smile

Personally I reckon he took his car to Kwik-Kake instead of Kwik-Fit by mistake.

I found a big black disk in my engine bay - it was 12" across. It this a record?

Never caught the buggers in action but mice made off with half the insulation of my engine bay for their nests!

Lucky they didn't take a liking to power cables
