How much can you spend on a not-that-nice car?
Discussion
Right, this is inspired by a comment in another thread and will only be of interest to anoraks with too much time on their hands, like me
Pretty much all car makers have configurators on their websites now so you can spec up the car you want, so the challenge is this....
Who can spec up the most expensive but really-not-worth-the-money car?
The rules are simple, I decide the winner, unless someone can persuade me otherwise, and they must be 'normal' type cars, so no speccing up a CL65 AMG with loads of designo options
Extra points for screen grabs of the finished item, I'll start the ball rolling.
A Peugeot 308 SW diesel auto for £24,670!
So,who can beat that?

Great topic!
Has anyone actually ever paid near that for a 308? Astonishing sum of money for complete and utter blandness.
No idea! There aren't even that many options on it, unlike the Passat which has the price of a top spec VW Fox in options Has anyone actually ever paid near that for a 308? Astonishing sum of money for complete and utter blandness.
It's only an old fashioned 4 speed auto too, with terrible economy figures to boot.
