Blimey... gald okay!
As the police would say - No such thing as an accident - the tipper truck shouldn't have had an unsafe load. So human error, not accident.
At the traffic lights outside a quarry near us, there is a ton of rocks on the road as the tipper drivers corner at 10/10ths to make their next pay by load target. As the police would say - No such thing as an accident - the tipper truck shouldn't have had an unsafe load. So human error, not accident.

Bloody hell that could have been nasty !
First and only accident in 30 + years.
Lump of rock fell off a tipper truck going in the opposite direction and hit the front of car of it had been bit higher scary to think what could have happened Mrs was in passenger seat
Glad you're ok. I was in the cab of an AA flatbed with my broken car on the back, travelling home, far left seat. A brick came off an 8 wheeler, coming the other way and punched a hole through the windscreen and hit the centre seat. Absolute luck it missed the driver and me!First and only accident in 30 + years.

So I find myself in the what to do now camp !
I know this has been answered a million times but my intention is to just call my insurer and leave them to it.
I'm already worrying about the job the repairers are going to do
Glad you are both ok -that must have made one hell of a noise.I know this has been answered a million times but my intention is to just call my insurer and leave them to it.

As you have all the details I would call your Insurers and pass that all on to them.

The radar is still working OK but it must have screwed the horn as it now sounds like a noddy car !

We got hit in January, I left it to LV, I declined the loan car about 4 times, repair job is what you would expect from an insurance repair. I’ve just had the renewal and it’s gone down £30 with a no fault claim I know this has been answered a million times but my intention is to just call my insurer and leave them to it.

In the meantime they will be handling your claim.
You could off course try claiming directly from the Tipper co /their Insurers but that will take significantly longer and will be far more stressful.

You are assuming that the transport manager won't just deny everything straight away but once notified and all the details are made known including the dashcam footage it will be down to the Insurer in any event to decide who is at fault and whether or not they can subrogate costs off the Tipper co.

Not necessarily; I was hit by a car which shot out of his driveway without looking leaving both vehicles undrivable. Within an hour, and while still at the scene of the accident I was contacted by his insurers accepting liability, offering a courtesy car from Enterprise and giving the name of their approved repairers. As both of these were within walking distance of my home, and well known to me I was happy to proceed. TP insurers are usually keen to get things moving to keep you happy and out of the hands of Claims Management companies. In the meantime they will be handling your claim.
