Basic car improvements for Fuel Economy

Y ello there! I am new to car forums and vehicle discussion and I just have a basic Honda accord LX. but it just about at 100K miles now.
Other than getting high end spark plugs, always using super gas and being ahead of schedule on maintenance and oil changes; what are some other basic advice can you give to maximize Fuel Economy and get this metal box to 250K miles!!
On one go of 450 miles I averaged 43.8 miles to the gallon. Anyone do better for a 4 Cylinder gas only car?
