We really do, as a society, need to pull together to reduce crime. Hopefully someone knows something and will come forward and share that information so the car can be recovered and those responsible dealt with.

Very sad.

I've got a flat not far from where he parks his cars. His Alpina, M5 Touring, Z3M and his Jag are often left on the streets. Its a highly populated area so I really hope some local CCTV or Ring doorbells helps him out.

Saw a pic of it posted on the street on his instagram, wouldn't surprise me if a thief spotted it as an easy target.

Yeah his previous post was this so it's a possibility

Crime is at a historically low level.

I agree with your hopes that it'll be recovered.

Was absolutely gutted to see this on Instagram earlier… I really hate to say it but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was already in a container out of the country by now- these are so rare now that it’d immediately get spotted if it stayed in the UK, even with false plates/VIN. Hopefully I’m wrong and it was an opportunistic joyrider who always wanted a go in one, and it turns up in a lay-by somewhere in one piece.

I’d fully sympathise if Harris decided to go John Wick on whoever took it.

A lot of the population have no qualms about nicking anything if they think they can get away with it.

Was at a car show and overheard to blokes of about sixty yattering about a 2.8i Capri "Yeah I used to nick these" and then "Yeah, I did as well", not something to be proud of, scumbags, might of been bullst to sound like a geezer, one of them was in an old Toyota done up as a taxi he was trying to sell for five grand, so didnt exactly capitalise on his life of crime.

See it on Social Media, anyone objects to people stealing, they get called a "Grass" or say "Snitches get stitches", there are also people on there with fleets of fast/expensive cars who were involved in large scale investment frauds.

So hope Chris gets his BMW back, bad enough having a car stolen but when its something special that you have had for so long, that really hurts, whoever you are and however much cash you have.

I must admit when I saw that post the other day I did think “I wouldn’t be leaving that out on the street”.

st that you need to think like that but welcome to modern Britain.

This will have such a high profile I can't see how it will not be spotted somewhere

I suspect it'll be in a lockup, either being prepared to export, or stripped down, sadly.

Not quite in the same league, but it reminds me I need to think about physical security on my E60 M5, as well as secreting a tracker or two on it.

Ask a biker how much of an epidemic motorbike theft is - it's a fking disgrace.

Whoever has stolen it will know to keep it out of sight. It won't have been left out on the street to invite unwanted attention. They'll likely be using a signal jammer to block any tracking devices while they go through the car hunting for a tracker.

Sadly, the reality is that there are 34 million cars on UK roads at present and something over 40 million motorists.

Harris' fan base is big, but not that big. This car will be easily hidden if a professional has taken it with intention to either export or strip it for parts.

Awful situation though. It'll be insured of course, but how do you find another one that you know so well?

Scumbag thieves.

Looks like it's been found and he's been notified, according to the Instagram post.

Thieving scumbags, I hate them with a passion always wanting what isn't theirs, if it were me I'd be looking to find a secure place locally to store them, not that you should have to, but that's the way of things especially as they use SM to find what they are looking for and can often know where you are.

A secure place locally to store the scumbags? I mean it's unconventional but could be effective biglaugh

On a serious note, it does appear to have been found (if the IG comment is to be trusted!), hopefully in once piece and undamaged. Unlike said scumbags. We live in hope.

Ha! Well I'd have them put on a one way helicopter flight over the North sea (the scumbags) good news if it's been found unmolested.
