Peugeot salt and pepper
Discussion
Mrs Loto once bought me a Peugeot pepper mill for Christmas as I searched for the holy grail of mills. It felt quality but was utter garbage - I now buy disposable mills from Aldi which are excellent and cheap.
The trick apparently is to used semi crushed peppercorns but for me you're rapidly losing flavour once the corn is broken.
...I have an old Salter mill from the 70's with beech body which was Mum's - still works brilliantly after all these years. Modern grinder mechs seem to be garbage.

I have the solid silver ones. They’re ste. But look nice.
from the reviews and comparisons i've read about all pepper mills they're all pretty much the same (rather meh) except for the mannikitchen pepper cannon which is miles ahead of the rest. No way would I spend £180 on pepper grinder though.ambuletz said:

WOW! Now that is a completely unnecessary way to spend £180! okgo said:

I have a wooden set - they're really hopeless. Have tried with every salt possible.
They work well with the salt they sell on their website. Which is pound for pound more expensive than gold. I would not buy them again, although they look nice.
