Do you put the tickle charger on the positive and negative ports of a car battery or positive and careful chassis? Thanks

I've always connected directly to the battery terminals, which seems simplest. I think that's what the instructions state too.

Not trying to be unhelpful but it depends on the car and what the manual says.
On my previous BMWs, there are positive and negative charge points under the bonnet although the battery is in the boot.
On my current Audi, the manual says to use the positive terminal on the battery and a negative charge connection point, but not the negative terminal.

I think it's all to do with the battery management system if there is one. If not then direct to the battery terminal is best.

I think it really depends on your car and what the manual says

My BMW has both positive and negative points under the bonnet and the manual says do not charge directly from the battery terminal
