I’m all for tasteful restomods but wtf have they done!.. looks like will.i.am has been let loose on it (remember his DeLorean thing)..

Proof money does not buy taste or style..

Lose the strange spoiler at the bottom of the windscreen, otherwise I actually think that looks great!

The original biturbo shamal looked like this.

State your objection to the revamp.

To be honest, on the whole, I think that works.

I'd prefer a narrower B-pillar (though that's an original feature so whatever), two fewer tailpipes and the omission of the weird wing thing below the base of the windscreen, but otherwise I think it's neat, well-proportioned and reasonably subtle.

Nowt much wrong with that.

Front end is a little aggressive and could be toned or smoothed down a bit but that's about it. Not keen on the colour but that's just me.

Not a very good looking car to begin with IMO, so it's not like anything has been ruined.

The front is horrendous. As is the rear.

As for the paint job. It looks like panels from different cars have been put on it and it's awaiting a respray.

No the original wasn't a classic beauty, it looked purposeful (think Alfa SZ), but this. Well. It's just st!

I like it too, and the original isn't that great anyway. Presumably apparently mismatched panel colours are just a photo illusion- the colour itself I like as well!

Half a million though, so I'm unlikely to be a buyer.

on the whole I quite like that, however... this bit looks too pronounced IMO

The original was brutally purposeful and very much of its time (or about a decade before, by the time it was discontinued) whereas this looks like an AI "draw me a 2024 version of a Shamal Biturbo."

My feelings on all these sort of things are the same; a new design can look good, a legit new design that references a past glory can look good, but an old design with modern material-tech detailing and some edges knocked off just comes across as naff and lazy.

It's not too different from the original.

Have they ditched the Gandini rear wheel arch?

Is it an actual car or just a render?
