I know all we do in the comments on PH is moan about price and weight, but come on...

And VW are taking the piss aren't they, rear drum brakes at that weight and price point seems insulting.
I genuinely wouldn't have a clue that this was a "hot" model looking at it either - just a bland, white blob.

While admittedly a lot more expensive and also very lardy, something like the IONIQ 5 is much more appealing.

I'm not someone who constantly bashes EVs - whilst I wouldn't buy one, I ran a Tesla Model 3 company car for a few years and genuinely loved it. There are other EVs that I like. But this - and most of the German offerings just seem horrendous to me.

It's got higher levels of regen from the uprated motor. I really don't see what the issue is with drum brakes on the rear for a car of that size.
