Just doing a house clearance and have come across a pretty old looking in-car kettle. Still boxed although I haven't tried it. Auction site? Local car museum?

One in similar condition went for £30 on eBay recently

But that was sold as 'untested'. Fill it with water, plug it in and if you survive without being electrocuted it'll be worth at least double as 'tested and working'.

Anyone know if a modern fag lighter socket will allow 18 amps thru it?
My guess is 10 amps max.
