Peugeot 206/307 timing belt intervals

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, still quite new here.

I have a 55 plate 307 Feline with the 180 engine from the 206 and I'm trying to work out what intervals the timing belt should be changed at, I understand it's every 10 years but that seems a bit long.

I also have a 306 gti and always change that every 3-4 years having read a lot on here about the importance of changing those belts and obviously I don't want to run in to problems by following unrealistic manufacturers guidelines that had caused so many failures on the 306.

I've had the car since 2019 on 42k and that was the first change it'd had, so it's either quite resilient, or the previous owner was quite lucky
